On the occasion of the World Refugee Day, PARC Harikar with support of UNHCR has organized a football match between refugees’ youth in Gregawre and Mesreike settlements in 20th June 2012 at Mesreike football stadium.
The players of both settlements have been selected by the refugees themselves to play the match.
The match started at 6:00pm to 7:00pm. The match opened by the referee. The audience of the match were PARC staff, UNHCR representative, Mokhtars of both settlement and other refugees. The refugees’ players and audience were very happy and pleased with this match and for being a bit away from the working atmosphere and created atmosphere of suspense to win the match and they thanked PARC Harikar for organizing such a match for them.
Harikar distributed Sport clothes to the players, refreshment to the players and the audience under the fund of PARC/UNHCR.
The match ended in victory for Mesreike Refugee team by 6 points to 1 and gifts distributed to the all participated players.
